HHFA Course 2 – Module 3 – HHFA Types of Indicators Exercise 1

Imagine you want to know the domain index for Malaria service readiness for staff and guidelines items in the 10 facilities surveyed.

  • Go to the Malaria service readiness table in the indicator inventory platform (Version 4)[https://indicator-inventory.hhfa.online/]
  • Go to Dimension 3, then Area 3.2, then Sub-area 3.2.2, then Table 3.2.2.2.

The domain will look at whether the facility has guidelines for malaria diagnosis or treatment, guidelines for intermittent presumptive treatment for pregnancy (IPTp), staff trained in malaria diagnosis with rapid diagnostic tests, staff trained in malaria treatment, staff trained in IPTp, and an accredited or certified microscopist.

Of the 10 facilities, the survey reveals that:

  • 2 facilities have all the 6 indicator items
  • 3 facilities have 5 of the 6 indicator items
  • 2 facilities have 4 of the 6 indicator items
  • 3 facilities have 3 of the 6 indicator items
